Konami is bringing the Metal Gear Solid franchise to an unconventional venue: CatCon, an event dedicated to feline enthusiasts. The game publisher will offer exclusive, limited-edition pet products inspired by the iconic stealth series during the convention, taking place on October 10 and 11.

Fans attending CatCon will have the opportunity to purchase a unique line of Metal Gear-themed cat merchandise. Among the offerings are cat scratch boxes designed to resemble the series' signature stealth boxes, allowing feline companions to practice their infiltration skills. Additionally, plush pet toys and cat collars inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be available to promote Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which is set for release on August 27.

These special items will only be available at CatCon and the OKS Gear Shop for the duration of the convention. This limited availability may lead to scarcity in the future, potentially driving up prices for collectors and fans seeking to acquire them later.

Attendees who visit the Konami booth will also have a chance to meet viral internet cat personality One Eared Uno. The influencer boasts a significant online following across platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. A meet-and-greet event with One Eared Uno is scheduled for October 10 at 2 p.m. PT at the Konami booth.

The collaboration extends beyond marketing, aiming to support feline welfare. CatCon is a significant event for animal adoption, with hundreds of homeless cats finding new homes each year. Last year's convention saw the adoption of 1,500 cats, and an additional $400,000 was raised for feline charities. Konami's presence at the event aims to draw attention to these charitable efforts.
