Mick Gordon Teases Extensive 'Doom' Concert Tour

Award-winning composer Mick Gordon has indicated that his upcoming live performances of the Doom and Doom Eternal soundtracks are intended to be more than just a few isolated events. Following his headlining appearance at the UK's RADAR festival in August 2027, Gordon plans to embark on a more extensive tour.

Gordon confirmed his RADAR festival slot, which will feature him performing with a band and a live orchestra, playing music from the Doom franchise and other select pieces. Shortly after, he is scheduled to perform at the Brutal Assault Festival in the Czech Republic, an event he described as "so metal" and a "really, really incredible 25,000-people metal festival."

For fans unable to attend these European dates, Gordon suggested that more opportunities to experience his live show are on the horizon. "My agency and I are talking about doing this for the next two years," he stated. "There are a number of [events] across the whole world that we’re hoping to take this show [to]. So there’s going to be a lot of news coming on that front."

Gordon expressed enthusiasm for merging the elements he finds exciting in video game music with the energy of a live rock and metal concert. He aims to create an experience distinct from traditional orchestral performances, envisioning "this massive circle mosh pit with videogame music."

In other news, Gordon's soundtrack for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is set for release on October 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version to follow.
