Microsoft has launched a promotional offer that provides a $5 store credit to customers who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Xbox Series X/S or PC via the Xbox app or Microsoft Store. This initiative aims to encourage pre-orders on Microsoft's platforms.
The promotion is available until September 1, 2024, at 8:55 PM PST. While Microsoft's official announcement was made on August 29, the terms and conditions indicate the offer has been valid for pre-orders placed as early as May 28, potentially making recent pre-order customers eligible.
Eligible customers will receive a notification on their PC or Xbox within 35 days of Modern Warfare 4's release, confirming the credit has been granted. This credit can also be found under the "Offers & Credits" section of a user's profile. The store credit must be redeemed by December 15 and spent within 90 days of redemption.
The offer is extended to a wide range of regions, including the United States, Canada, various European countries, Australia, and more.
Both the standard and Vault editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 are included in this promotion. Notably, the Vault Edition, priced at $100, receives an additional 10 percent loyalty discount, reducing its cost to $90 for eligible players. This loyalty discount applies to those who have previously owned and played recent Call of Duty titles such as Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7. The discount is restricted to the platform on which these previous titles were played.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. This marks the first Call of Duty title in over a decade to be released on a Nintendo platform.
