Midwest 90: Rapid City Brings Post-Apocalyptic Monster Cuisine to Early Access Next Month

Prepare your appetite for the post-apocalyptic world of Midwest 90: Rapid City, a tycoon survival sim where players will hunt mutated monsters and transform them into culinary delights. The game is set to launch into early access on November 10th.

In this unique take on the genre, players will manage a roadhouse in a monster-infested wasteland. The core gameplay loop involves defending the establishment from attacking creatures, then utilizing the parts and entrails harvested from fallen foes to research and develop new recipes. Players can then design their menu, balancing customer desires with potential buffs and risks associated with the unusual ingredients.

The defensive element of the game manifests as a tower defense section. Before nightfall, players can strategically place traps and defenses around their roadhouse along a predetermined path to fend off incoming monsters. Success in these encounters provides the necessary monster parts to fuel the restaurant's culinary innovation.

Beyond menu development, players will also have control over the roadhouse's layout. A grid-based system allows for the placement of tables, chairs, cooking equipment, and other amenities to optimize customer service and operational efficiency. Careful investment in both the front-facing restaurant and its defenses will be crucial for survival and prosperity.

A demo for Midwest 90: Rapid City is currently available. The game will release into early access on November 10th. Those interested can also wishlist the title on Steam ahead of its launch.
