Mistfall Hunter is set to release on July 30th, presenting a visual style reminiscent of FromSoftware's Elden Ring but with a distinct extraction-based gameplay loop. The game features a dark fantasy aesthetic, incorporating elements of fast-paced combat, dodge rolling, and parrying, alongside a variety of classes focusing on melee and magic.
Extraction and PvPvE
The core gameplay loop involves players entering a land where they must hunt for a substance called Gyldenblood and search for relics. The objective is to extract safely from the hazardous environment. This process is designed as a player-versus-environment-versus-player (PvPvE) experience, meaning players will contend with both NPC enemies and other human players who may intervene, potentially after a difficult encounter with AI threats.
Mistfall Hunter supports both solo play and trios, offering an option for players who prefer to team up or avoid direct PvP in Souls-like titles. The developers plan to introduce seasonal changes that will alter the game world, bringing new classes, abilities, zones, and relics to maintain a competitive and fresh experience, similar to other live-service extraction games.
Mistfall Hunter is available for wishlist on Steam.
