Mistfall Hunter, which launched last week, has received a roadmap detailing content for its first two seasons. Developer Bellring Games shared the plans following a successful opening week, which has seen a significant player base engage with the game's fantasy extraction elements.
A major point of feedback addressed by the developers is the addition of a solo mode for both normal and cataclysm difficulties of the Brandrgarde map. Bellring Games acknowledged that introducing new modes could impact matchmaking queues and introduce class balance challenges, stating they will continue to evaluate these factors before making further adjustments.
The first season of Mistfall Hunter will be implemented in three phases. Phase one will introduce an Einherjar mode, seasonal tasks, and the Soul Harvest event. During Soul Harvest, players can collect soul cocoons, face a boss named Soulgnawer, and participate in a "multiplayer showdown." A special shop will also be available, offering collectibles, soul coins, and moonlight nectar.
Phase two is set to bring the full roster of season tasks, enabling players to unlock the rare pouch and Nether Ferry skin. This phase will also see the release of the solo mode for Brandgarde and an Underlord speed challenge, where defeating Underlords quickly yields bonus rewards. The third phase of season one will add a new monster, the Golden Woodling, and a random match event called Ancestor Tree. Completing certain tasks in this phase will offer glimpses into season two's content.
Details for season two include the addition of a new weapon, the javelin, under the Blackarrow weapon type. The season will also feature a new theme, exclusive gameplay elements, and a season-exclusive progression system, with further information to be released at a later date.
