Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1 Detailed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's inaugural season, dubbed Season 1, is set to launch on November 6, introducing a wealth of new content including the game's first battle pass, additional weapons, and a new map for the DMZ extraction mode. This update also marks the full integration of Modern Warfare 4 into Warzone, bringing two new themed maps to the battle royale experience.

Season 1 will commence at 12 AM ET / 5 AM GMT on November 6, or 9 PM PT on November 5. This marks a shift back to later release times for post-launch updates this year.

Season 1 Content

The Season 1 battle pass offers over 100 unlockable items, including two base weapons: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 submachine gun. Two additional weapons, the JAK 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon, are slated for release mid-season via limited-time events. The battle pass requires a purchase, with a $10 fee for the standard pass and a $30 BlackCell bundle offering additional cosmetic rewards. New weapon attachments will also become available throughout the season.

A Wager Match limited-time event will kick off Season 1, offering players chances to earn camos and other cosmetic rewards across all modes. Further events are planned for later in the season.

Multiplayer will see the addition of three new maps at launch: Backstab, Canyon, and a reimagined Shoot House, all offering 6v6 core gameplay. More maps, including a variant of the Kill Block Gunfight map adapted for core modes, will arrive with the mid-season update. Returning game modes Grind and Dropzone will also be featured, alongside the introduction of new modes.

DMZ and Warzone Integration

The DMZ extraction mode will receive a new, smaller map named X01, which is comparable in size to Building 21 from the DMZ beta. This map will introduce new DMZ Orders, Lieutenant Hunts, enemy types, and exclusive loot. Further FOB upgrades, including a new "classified" 3D printer upgrade, seasonal updates to the boss board, and access to the in-game shop, will also be implemented. Limited-time events are also planned for DMZ players.

Warzone's integration with Modern Warfare 4 means that content from the new title will be present in the battle royale, and some elements from previous Call of Duty titles, such as Black Ops 7's movement mechanics, will be absent. The main Warzone battle royale map will be Hajin, with Zodiac serving as the smaller Resurgence map. Activision has not yet provided further details on other content additions or removals for Warzone in Season 1.
