Monopoly Go is ushering in the fall season and approaching Halloween with its new "Monster Mash" event, running from September 23 to November 25. This limited-time celebration introduces significant crossovers with the Ghostbusters franchise and the K-Pop group KPop Demon Hunters.
During the "Monster Mash" season, players can engage in new minigames and "immersive adventures" that incorporate characters and elements from KPop Demon Hunters, specifically featuring Huntr/X and the Saja Boys. Music from KPop Demon Hunters, including the tracks "Golden" and "How It's Done," will be featured within the game. The Blocks Boutique shop will also receive new themed collectibles inspired by the K-Pop group, with characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey appearing in Monopoly Go.
The Ghostbusters crossover brings franchise-specific vehicles, locations, and characters to the mobile game. Notably, the iconic Proton Blaster will also be available as part of this update.
Beyond the licensed content, "Monster Mash" introduces the Luck-O-Lanter, an item players can fill by collecting treats found on the game board. A new "dice duel" feature has also been added, allowing players to compete by rolling dice to trick or treat their opponents based on higher rolls. In a nod to its player base, Monopoly Go's Halloween update will also feature community-chosen token designs, with player-created tokens now being earnable within the game. A trailer for the spooky season event has been released, offering a preview of the new content.
