During a recent My Chemical Romance concert at London's Wembley Stadium, vocalist Gerard Way paused his set to respond to a fan's sign asking if he had played Baldur's Gate 3. Way revealed that he had only played the original Baldur's Gate and its Icewind Dale expansion, stating he "just ran out of time" for the critically acclaimed RPG. This revelation caught the attention of developer Larian Studios.

Larian Studios initially reacted to Way's admission on X, formerly Twitter, with a playful "What do you mean you haven't played the critically-acclaimed Dungeons and Dragons RPG, Baldur's Gate 3?" The studio then extended an invitation, stating, "There's a Baldur's Gate 3 code with your name on it if you fancy trying it."

While Gerard Way has not yet publicly responded to Larian's offer, Baldur's Gate 3 has garnered significant praise, including a rare 10/10 score in GameSpot's review. The game's popularity and critical reception suggest it may be worth Way's time to revisit the series.
