Netflix has released the first full trailer for its upcoming Lego One Piece animated special, offering fans a brick-built reimagining of the live-action series' initial seasons. The special is slated to premiere on Netflix on September 29.

Lego One Piece will serve as a comedic recap of the events from the first two seasons of the live-action show, with the Straw Hat pirates rendered in Lego form. The narrative is framed as an unreliable retelling by the pirate Usopp, who interjects with his own exaggerated accounts of the journey. The trailer features moments where characters like Zoro question Usopp's fabricated memories, highlighting the humorous take on the source material. "Wow, who's this super cool dude?" Zoro is heard saying about Usopp, before immediately retracting, "I never said that!"

Showrunner, writer, and executive producer Tom Hyndman stated that the special aims to introduce new viewers to the expansive One Piece universe while providing longtime fans with a fresh and entertaining perspective on the early stories. The entire main cast from the live-action series is returning to voice their Lego counterparts, including Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp.

Beyond the Lego special, One Piece fans have other upcoming releases to anticipate. Season 3 of the live-action series has recently concluded filming and is scheduled for a 2027 debut. Additionally, a new One Piece anime remake is expected to begin streaming on Netflix in February 2027.
