New Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Pokes Fun at Multiple Captain Americas

Marvel has released a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, following up on a previous MLB crossover promotion. This latest preview emphasizes the relationship between Thor and Steve Rogers, particularly their shared worthiness to wield Mjolnir.

In the trailer, Thor appears to be leading the Avengers, urging them to unite against Doctor Doom. "Doom will tear this world apart. Team up and stand together," he declares.

The trailer also features a moment of levity provided by Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd. His character playfully acknowledges the presence of multiple individuals who have carried the Captain America title, including Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, and US Agent. US Agent himself points out, "I was also Cap for a minute."

This new promotional material arrives amidst other recent news regarding the film, including the casting of Sandra Hüller in an undisclosed role and David Harbour's statements denying he spoiled plot details in a recent interview. Fans have also been speculating about a character who they believe was edited out of the first Doomsday trailer.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 18.
