A new cooperative game set in the universe of the animated series Batman: The Caped Crusader is set to launch on July 31. Titled Batman: Caped Crusader - Chronicles, the game will be available to Amazon Prime members at no additional cost through the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service. The announcement coincides with the premiere of the animated series' second season.

Batman: Caped Crusader - Chronicles is described as a co-op party game that supports up to four players. Participants will join a special Gotham City Police Department task force and operate within Batman's inner circle. The game will feature 11 episodic missions that blend sleuthing elements with minigames. Key Batman villains such as Babyface, Scarecrow, Dollmaker, and the Joker are slated to appear. Hamish Linklater and Michelle C. Bonilla will reprise their roles as Batman and Detective Montoya, respectively, to ensure continuity with the animated series.

This new game leverages Amazon's expanding integration of Luna into Prime Video. The service is rolling out to Fire TVs in the United States and the United Kingdom, allowing users to stream games directly from their television devices. Players can use a game controller or a smartphone to play, accessing games through a single application.

The Batman: The Caped Crusader animated series, which debuted in 2024, is set in a 1940s film noir-inspired Gotham City. It follows a younger Bruce Wayne establishing himself as Batman while being viewed as a vigilante by the GCPD. The first season introduced new interpretations of villains like the Penguin and Harley Quinn, and emphasized Batman's detective skills. Season two is set to feature new encounters with villains including the Riddler and the Mad Hatter, as well as the Joker, who was teased at the end of the first season.
