Another gameplay leak from Grand Theft Auto VI has surfaced online, this time featuring explicit content and a detailed look at the game's environments. The leaked clip, shared by a hacker known as Cyberleek, depicts the character Jason exploring what appears to be a nudist club or community at night. The footage highlights a diverse range of NPC body types and detailed environmental lighting, particularly around a nighttime pool area.
The leak reportedly shows characters in various states of undress responding to Jason, who uses binoculars to observe them. The gameplay progresses to a confrontation where the player character engages in violence, leading to fatalities around the illuminated pool. The leaker claims this footage originates from a build of the game dated no later than 2025, citing included music as evidence.
Beyond the explicit content, the leak has drawn attention for its apparent graphical fidelity. The report notes an impressive variety in NPC designs, encompassing differences in size, skin tone, age, and height, which suggests a significant advancement in character modeling compared to previous Grand Theft Auto titles. The visual rendering of the nighttime pool environment, with its realistic lighting effects on the water's surface and floating objects, is also singled out for praise as an example of Rockstar Games' attention to detail.
Cyberleek, the individual or group responsible for these leaks, has stated their actions are a protest against digital pre-orders and the absence of a physical release for Grand Theft Auto VI. However, their activities are also linked to cryptocurrency, with fans apparently paying to influence which leaked clips are released next. Take-Two Interactive is reportedly pursuing legal action to stop the dissemination of further leaks.
This latest leak follows a series of shared gameplay clips that began surfacing around August 18. The official gameplay reveal for Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be hosted by Netflix on August 27. The game is slated for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles.
