The ongoing series of leaks concerning Grand Theft Auto VI has continued with a new gameplay video reportedly showing protagonist Jason Duval. This latest clip, dubbed the "Taser Video" by observers, highlights the use of a weapon identified as the "Shocker," which appears to have a considerable range.
The footage depicts Jason acquiring the weapon after an altercation, then using it to incapacuate multiple adversaries. The sequence also includes a brief scene featuring Jason and another character, Cal Hampton, in a boat, which has been described as a cutscene.
Prior to the taser usage, the leaked video shows Jason driving a vehicle with Tate McRae's song "Sports Car" playing. The driving segment culminates in a minor collision before Jason exits the car to engage in on-foot combat, utilizing melee attacks before obtaining the Shocker.
This leak follows earlier purported disclosures, including a clip of Jason playing basketball and what is claimed to be the game's complete map. Rockstar Games has not yet issued an official statement regarding these leaks. The individuals responsible for the leaks have stated their actions are motivated by a desire to benefit gamers and express dissatisfaction with the absence of a physical disc release for GTA 6.
Consumer rights group Stop Killing Games has voiced opposition to supporting the hacker group behind these leaks, emphasizing that such actions are not in the interest of gamers. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to receive an official "Extended Look" trailer on August 27, which will debut on Netflix. The game has also recently been featured in a PlayStation 5 promotional video, where its appearance was noted as slightly different.
