A series of video clips and images allegedly showcasing Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay and its world have recently appeared online. The footage, which has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, depicts scenes featuring one of the game's protagonists, Jason, and offers a look at the game's map of Leonida, a state inspired by Florida. While the authenticity and recency of these leaks are unverified, they provide potential insights into several new gameplay mechanics and features.

One notable detail is the potential implementation of a morality system, similar to the one seen in Red Dead Redemption 2. In one leaked clip, a devil icon with a minus symbol appears on screen as Jason brutally attacks a delivery driver, suggesting that player actions could influence a karma-like system. This icon only materializes after the player continues the assault, hinting that certain aggressive actions may be judged more harshly than others.

Gameplay footage also indicates the presence of a stamina meter. As Jason engages in combat, a meter depletes, and its complete exhaustion seems to result in visual penalties, such as screen vignetting, and likely movement restrictions. Additionally, a new stealth indicator, represented by a blue arrow, has been observed. This mechanic suggests that players might have the option to approach situations with a degree of stealth, as law enforcement's awareness appears to build gradually.

Player Progression and Character Systems

The leaks suggest a character progression system for both protagonists, Jason and Lucia. One clip shows Jason gaining a +2% "Focus" after sinking a basketball, implying a trait system that could influence gameplay abilities, potentially related to slow-motion mechanics.

Player vehicles may also feature more detailed management systems. Evidence points to in-game fuel gauges and engine condition meters, requiring players to monitor their vehicles' status. Storage capacity for vehicles, indicated by a "loadout" and "storage 0/4" option, has also been noted.

World and Exploration Details

The leaked map of Leonida reveals several points of interest. Jason's home is depicted on an island in southern Leonida, reminiscent of the Florida Keys. The map also shows what appear to be small racetracks scattered across the state, suggesting racing could be a featured activity or a method for earning in-game currency. An airport in the Keys region is speculated to be a potential location for acquiring military vehicles, such as fighter jets.

The leaks also provide glimpses into the game's user interface. A "wanted level" system appears to be expanded, potentially reaching six stars, one more than in Grand Theft Auto 5. When committing crimes, players are reportedly identified by clothing, facial features or hair color, and their vehicle, implying that changing these elements could aid in evading law enforcement. Fake brand names, such as "Sea Shark" for jetskis and "Scoop" for a delivery company, have also been spotted within the leaked materials.

While Rockstar Games has not commented on the veracity of these leaks, the first official gameplay reveal for Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to be released soon, via Netflix.
