Nintendo has unveiled a new, highly detailed Lego set depicting Link and his horse Epona, slated for release in spring 2027. The announcement came during the recent Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, with further details emerging via a subsequent press release.
The upcoming Lego set will comprise 1,750 pieces. Its release date means it will not be available for purchase this Christmas, though it appears to align with the upcoming film release in April of next year.
The design features a posable Epona with a large, expressive tail, suggesting a model aimed at adult collectors. This aligns with Nintendo's recent trend of releasing elaborate Lego sets that cater to an older audience rather than young children.
While an official price has not yet been confirmed, the cost is anticipated to be significant. For reference, a 1,003-piece Ocarina of Time set featuring Ganondorf, Zelda, and Link is priced at $130, and a larger 2,500-piece Deku Tree set costs $300. These higher-end sets, while detailed and appealing to collectors, often come with a substantial price tag that may temper the excitement for potential buyers.
