Nintendo has announced a special Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated to the upcoming RPG Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The stream is scheduled to air tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK time, and will provide 20 minutes of new information.

This broadcast will offer further insight into Nintendo's anticipated exclusive for the Switch 2. The game was last showcased during Nintendo's June Direct, where its release date was confirmed for September 17, 2026. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave marks the first major entry in the series since Fire Emblem: Engage, which launched on Switch in 2023, and follows the 2019 success of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

The game features the series' signature turn-based gameplay and colorful characters. Its setting revolves around a large arena that hosts a championship known as the Heroic Games. An official description states, "Discover an intertwining story of strength and steel in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, only on Nintendo Switch 2."

First revealed during a Nintendo Direct last September, Fortune's Weave garnered a positive fan response, with many noting similarities to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, including the return of elements like Heroes' Relics and Crests, as well as an older character resembling Sothis. With its launch now just over a month away on September 17, 2026, this upcoming Nintendo Direct is poised to reveal more details for eager fans.
