Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation scheduled for August 4, which will dedicate its runtime to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 title, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The livestream event is slated to begin at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT and is expected to last approximately 20 minutes.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, first revealed last September as a Switch 2 exclusive, is the latest installment in the long-running tactical role-playing game series. The game introduces four new protagonists: Cai, a young boy seeking to rescue his father; Dietrich, a swordsman in pursuit of greater challenges; Theodora, a queen aiming to realize her homeland's aspirations; and Leda, a musician driven by vengeance. Each character possesses unique goals and narrative arcs that converge within The Dagsion Heroic Games, a competition where warriors face off for a granted wish from the Divine Sovereign.

Gameplay between the Heroic Games will allow players to explore the capital city of Dagsion, engage in training to learn new skills, foster relationships to recruit allies, and venture outside the city for additional experience. The game is positioned as a prequel to 2019's Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17. This dedicated Nintendo Direct presentation aims to provide an in-depth look at the game's mechanics, story, and characters.
