Nintendo has announced plans to broadcast two Nintendo Direct presentations next week. The first, scheduled for September 8 at 7 a.m. Pacific / 10 a.m. Eastern, will be a 30-minute showcase dedicated to The Legend of Zelda franchise, marking its 40th anniversary. The second, a general Nintendo Direct covering upcoming Switch 2 games, will follow on September 9 at the same times and will run for approximately 45 minutes. Both streams will be available on Nintendo's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

While details for the general showcase remain undisclosed, the Legend of Zelda Direct is expected to feature significant announcements. Speculation suggests the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake could be a central focus. Additionally, there is a strong possibility of a trailer reveal for the live-action Legend of Zelda film, which is slated for release on April 30. With the franchise's 40th anniversary being highlighted, a cinematic trailer for the film would be a timely addition, following the limited promotional materials released thus far, which have included still images, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and casting updates.
