The cyberpunk life sim Nivalis has been rebranded as Nivalis Nights and is now slated for release on September 29. Developed by Cloudpunk studio Ion Lands, the game casts players as a proprietor of a futuristic restaurant.
This new release date places Nivalis Nights in a crowded autumn release window. The game was originally slated for a 2025 launch but was delayed following a legal matter that Ion Lands had to resolve with a third party. According to a Steam blog post from the developer, this issue led to a hold on marketing and announcements.
"The obstacles have been resolved, and we are ready to charge ahead!" Ion Lands stated, clarifying the reason for the prolonged delay. While the developer did not specify the nature of the legal dispute or whether it was connected to the name change, the resolution allows the studio to move forward with the game's promotion and release.
Nivalis Nights promises a blend of restaurant management and life simulation. Trailers showcase activities such as fishing, interacting with patrons, decorating personal spaces, and exploring the city's environments. The game aims to evoke a strong sense of atmosphere and place within its murky, futuristic urban setting.
