Moon Studios has announced that the full 1.0 launch of its action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, has been delayed to March 2027. This decision, confirmed alongside a new trailer for the game, aims to allow for significant improvements to gameplay performance, a more robust class system, and further polish.

The game's initial PC early access build was released in April 2024. The forthcoming 1.0 release will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC. While versions for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S are still planned, they do not yet have a confirmed launch date. Studio co-founder Thomas Mahler has previously suggested that the less powerful Xbox Series S contributed to delays for the Xbox version.

As a gesture to players for their patience, the Founders Pack, which includes extra in-game items, has been extended to all PC purchasers before January 1, 2027, with recent purchases retroactively included. PlayStation 5 pre-order customers will receive a comparable offer in early 2025.

Mahler stated that the extended development time is necessary to ensure the game meets the high standards expected for its full release. He noted that initial prototypes for No Rest for the Wicked date back to 2016, describing the project as a significant passion endeavor. The studio wishes to use the additional time to ensure a stable launch, free of minor technical issues.
