Moon Studios has announced that its action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, will be delayed to March 2027. The game was originally slated for a 1.0 launch in October of this year. The studio cited a commitment to quality and the need for additional development time to improve performance, refine the class system, and polish the overall experience.

In a statement released through official channels, Moon Studios emphasized their dedication to meeting a high standard for the full release. "We're close, but close isn't good enough for our full 1.0 launch," the statement read. "The extra time will help us improve performance, tighten the class system, and polish the whole game to the standard you all deserve. We'd rather take a few more months than ship something that we know isn't quite perfect yet."

To compensate for the extended wait, the developers are planning a new open beta test for December, offering players an opportunity to experience the game ahead of its revised release date. Furthermore, individuals who purchase No Rest for the Wicked before January 2027 will receive exclusive in-game founder rewards upon the game's official launch. PlayStation pre-orders, scheduled to open in January, will also grant players access to these founder rewards if they pre-order within a two-month window.

Studio founder Thomas Mahler elaborated on the decision in a video shared on the Moon Studios YouTube channel, describing a recent "mad dash" to incorporate features like the class system. This rushed development pace apparently led the team to conclude that the game was not yet ready for its originally planned release.

The delay means No Rest for the Wicked will avoid a crowded release window later this year, sidestepping potential competition from titles such as Gears of War: E-Day and others expected in the coming months.
