Oded Fehr will reprise his role as Ardeth Bay in the upcoming film The Mummy 4, marking the character's return to the franchise after an absence in the previous installment. Fehr, who first portrayed the Anubis-worshipping warrior in the original 1999 film and its 2001 sequel, The Mummy Returns, was notably absent from 2008's The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. At the time, Fehr cited the lack of a central antagonist like Imhotep as the reason for his character's non-involvement.

Fehr recently offered fans a glimpse of his character's new look, sharing a post on Instagram on August 4. The update featured a clip from his original appearance as Ardeth Bay, transitioning to an image of Fehr, now 55, in a makeup chair. The updated Ardeth Bay sports a shorter haircut, a neat beard, and his signature facial tattoos, appearing as a silver-haired version of the character.

Brendan Fraser is also returning as Rick O'Connell, alongside Rachel Weisz as Evelyn Carnahan and John Hannah as Evelyn's brother. The Mummy 4 is scheduled for release on October 15, 2027. While the plot details remain under wraps, Fraser has spoken about the physical demands of the role, mentioning he is working to get back into shape for the production. The film represents the first entry in the franchise in nearly two decades.
