Gunzilla Games has released a substantial update for its cyberpunk battle royale, Off The Grid, focusing heavily on performance improvements and core gameplay enhancements. The studio reports that lower-end PCs can now achieve up to 100 additional frames per second in tested scenarios, a development that has allowed for a formal reduction in the game's minimum system requirements.
Vlad Korolev, CEO at Gunzilla Game Studio, stated that the performance goals for this update were significantly exceeded. "On lower-end PCs, we're seeing performance improvements of up to three times the previous FPS in tested scenarios," Korolev said. "That is a massive step forward for Off The Grid, and it reflects an extraordinary effort from the entire team."
Beyond technical optimizations, the update includes a rework of the game's combat loop. The weapon system has been overhauled to enhance handling, gun feel, feedback, and combat variety. Additionally, the game's signature Cyberlimbs have undergone a rebalancing pass to ensure they are more consistent and better integrated into moment-to-moment gameplay.
The patch also introduces a redesigned "Stay as Squad" feature for the endgame, a new onboarding tutorial for new players, and various UI adjustments, world refinements, and stability fixes. The update is now available on all supported platforms, aiming to provide a more accessible competitive experience.
