Blizzard Entertainment has provided the first glimpse of D.Mon, the upcoming 53rd hero for Overwatch. The developer announced the new character on Monday, with a full hero trailer scheduled for Thursday, August 6, and D.Mon's official arrival in Season 4.
D.Mon, whose real name is Yuna Lee, is part of Korea's MEKA Squad. Similar to her fellow MEKA pilot D.Va, D.Mon is a former esports professional who now pilots a mech as part of the Korean Mobile Exo-Force, defending against the Gwishin omnics. She has been referenced in previous Overwatch content, including cinematics, cosmetics, and comics, with former Overwatch writer Michael Chu describing her as "tough and protective." Her mech is named Beast.
The hero trailer premiere is set for Thursday, August 6, at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT, promising a more in-depth look at D.Mon. The teaser trailer released on Monday showed D.Mon in her mech, Beast, seemingly engaging in combat with Wrecking Ball. The preview did not clarify how D.Mon's gameplay will differ from D.Va's.
D.Mon is categorized as a Tank-class hero. She is the 15th tank hero to join the Overwatch roster and the eighth new hero introduced in 2026. She follows recently added heroes such as Shion (Damage), Sierra (Damage), Domina (Tank), Anran (Damage), Emre (Damage), Jetpack Cat (Support), and Mizuki (Support). D.Mon's official release is slated for August 11, coinciding with the start of Overwatch Season 4.
Overwatch is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
