Blizzard has released a mid-season patch for Overwatch, bringing a variety of balance adjustments to its hero roster. The update targets several characters, with notable changes including nerfs to Doctrine and Jetpack Cat, and buffs for Illari, aiming to refine gameplay as the season progresses.
Doctrine, who had previously overperformed, sees increased cooldowns on his mobility skill, Shrouded Momentum (from 8 to 10 seconds), and his Infuse ability (from 8 to 9 seconds). Similarly, Jetpack Cat's base health has been reduced from 225 to 200, though her Frenetic Flight ability now accelerates faster, albeit with slower fuel regeneration.
Illari receives several improvements. Her Solar Rifle's time to maximum charge has been reduced from 0.65 to 0.575 seconds, and her Healing Pylon now heals 50 per projectile, up from 40.
Other hero adjustments include an increase in D.Mon's Power Barrier recovery time and a minimum deploy duration, while her Propulsors impact damage is removed. Junker Queen's base health has been increased, and her Carnage cooldown reduced. Mauga gains increased base armor and his Incendiary Chainguns now deal more burning damage over time. Ramattra's Void Accelerator has an increased ammo capacity, and Winston's Revitalizing Barrier now heals slightly less per second. Anran's primary fire damage is increased, her ultimate cast time is reduced, and her Inferno Rush ability has had knockback removed and can no longer hit the same target multiple times per use. Echo's Aerial Munitions now refills ammo upon use. Emre's Cyber Frag detonation time is reduced. Genji's Deflect duration is decreased. Hanzo's Sonic Disruption no longer overrides Sombra's hacked health packs. Reaper's base health has been increased. Shion's Execution has a reduced starting spread, and her ultimate cast time per volley is lowered. Vendetta's Palatine Fang has reduced overhead leap speed and increased initial swing delay, while her Whirlwind Dash knockback is reduced.
Support heroes also see changes. Ana's Biotic Grenade explosion damage is reduced. Baptiste's Regenerative Burst now includes a UI element to track allies within range and affected by the burst. Brigitte's Inspire ability has a reduced internal cooldown and increased instant healing.
