Packed Lair, a Tetris-Inspired Base Builder, Launches Today

Packed Lair, a new game that fuses base building with Tetris-like puzzle elements and auto-battling roguelike mechanics, is available today. In this title, players assume the role of an evil lord tasked with constructing an empire within the confines of a small, cramped lair to support their world-conquering ambitions.

The core gameplay revolves around strategically placing various constructions on a grid-based space. These buildings, which can be rotated and fitted to maximize limited room, offer different effects. Some contribute to army size, while others boost unit strength or HP when positioned adjacently. Players spend in-game currency between battles to expand their lair, creating more space to place and unlock new structures.

Drafted buildings are presented randomly, offering a choice of three. Success hinges on optimizing the lair's space not just for efficient fitting but also for synergistic placement of buildings. A well-optimized lair allows the player's army to succeed in battles.

While the army handles much of the combat, players also have access to a few personal abilities. A free demo of Packed Lair is available on Steam for those who wish to try the game before purchasing.
