Palworld is set to launch its 1.0 update on July 10, marking a significant milestone for the survival-crafting game. Pocketpair's communications and publishing lead, John "Bucky" Buckley, revealed that the patch notes for this major release span 27 PDF pages, indicating a substantial amount of new content and changes.
Buckley expressed the challenge of condensing such extensive modifications into a digestible format, stating, "Losing my mind trying to make nice patch notes for Palworld 1.0… Who'd have thought that, checks notes, 27 pdf pages of changes and additions would be hard to make neat?"
While specific details are scarce, the sheer volume of the changelog suggests major additions beyond previously announced features like the flight-enabling wing pack and new Pals. Trailers have also teased the World Tree as a significant narrative component for the 1.0 release. Players will not be required to start from scratch with the update, though Buckley suggested that a fresh start might be a desirable option for some to experience the new content from the beginning.
Despite facing legal scrutiny, Palworld has maintained a strong player base, with over 35,000 concurrent players reported on Steam at the time of this writing. The game has also garnered Steam awards and has an official card game in development, indicating continued success for Pocketpair.
