Palworld is set to leave early access and launch its 1.0 version on July 10, but developer Pocketpair has announced that the game's price will remain at $29.99 USD / £24.99. This decision goes against the common practice of increasing prices for games as they transition to full release after a period of early development and player feedback.

This announcement coincides with the news that Palworld has surpassed 40 million players since its early access debut in January 2024. The developer shared this milestone with a new recap video teasing future content. While 40 million unique players have engaged with the game, this figure does not directly equate to 40 million units sold, as Palworld was available on Xbox and PC Game Pass from its launch, where it became a prominent third-party title. The 1.0 update will also be available to Game Pass subscribers on July 10.

By September 2025, Palworld had sold over 25 million copies. Studio head Takuro Mizobe previously commented in March 2024 that the game's initial success was overwhelming for a studio of their size, and he expressed a desire to maintain a small and agile team. Pocketpair has since expanded to approximately 110 employees and has also broadened its publishing operations.

Palworld challenges players to battle, farm, build, and cooperate with creatures known as Pals in an expansive open world. The game can be experienced solo or with others online. Despite ongoing discussions regarding its stylistic similarities to Nintendo's Pokémon franchise, Palworld has achieved significant global popularity, reaching an all-time peak of over 2 million concurrent players on Steam alone shortly after its early access launch.
