Pocketpair has released update v1.0.3 for Palworld, bringing a suite of adjustments aimed at enhancing the player experience following the game's 1.0 launch. The update introduces significant changes to how players acquire World Tree Holy Water, a resource that had become a point of frustration, and resolves a bug affecting summoned Pal combat effectiveness.

Streamlining World Tree Holy Water Acquisition

The v1.0.3 patch makes several alterations to the collection of World Tree Holy Water. Players can now earn this resource as rewards from World Tree expeditions and World Tree fishing, as well as from a base's large fishing pond. Additionally, the amount of World Tree Holy Water obtained from Pals in the World Tree area and from Teafant Spring locations has been increased. To further ease the burden of farming this item, its weight has been reduced from 1 to 0.1. The duration of World Tree Holy Water's effect has also been extended, and a new sound effect has been added to indicate when it is actively being used.

Combat and Pal Behavior Fixes

A notable fix addresses an issue where summoned Pals would freeze and cease attacking during boss fights or stop contributing to base work. This bug resolution should ensure greater reliability from companions in both combat and base management scenarios. The update also makes Jetragon, one of the game's popular Pals, more accessible by lowering the unlock level for its related technologies from 79 to 70 and reducing the crafting materials needed for its riding gear.

Other System and Bug Fixes

Beyond these primary changes, the update includes several other adjustments and bug fixes. Building costs for certain structures like the Crude Oil Extractor and High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor have been reduced, with their production speeds also increased. The Aquatic Construction Kit's unlock level has been significantly lowered. Numerous bug fixes are also detailed, including resolutions for potential crashes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles, issues with Fast Travel during Tower Boss battles on dedicated servers, and visual glitches in multiplayer co-op. Improvements to graphics and sound, such as adjusted boundary displays and better dungeon object quality, are also part of the patch, alongside fixes for UI, controls, and map display inconsistencies.
