The first major update for the life simulation game Paralives has been delayed and is now slated for release next year, according to developer updates. While the delay pushes back the content, the development team has outlined plans that aim to significantly improve core gameplay mechanics.
The forthcoming update will introduce several enhancements categorized into a four-point plan. The first point, "buffing up the basics," focuses on strengthening existing Live Mode systems. This includes refining relationship functionalities by unlocking more options as relationship levels increase, adding new interactions that influence a Para's emotions, improving the Community Centre's bundle system, and adjusting the game's economy to make acquiring in-game currency less straightforward.
Further expanding Live Mode, the update will introduce two new skills, additional story and interaction cards, new relationship label unlockables, and more job opportunities. Build Mode will also receive attention, particularly in addressing bugs that affect construction. Players can anticipate new furniture items and a tweak to the efficiency of existing furniture and decor.
Improvements are also planned for the Paramaker character creation tool. The update is set to add more hairstyles and clothing options, including baggy outfits. Additionally, the range of fat and muscle sliders will be expanded to better represent a wider variety of body shapes.
The Paralives team has stated that this list of planned features is not final and may be subject to change. The initial target for this major update was the end of 2026, but it has been postponed as the team requires additional time for development. More details about these upcoming changes can be found on the game's Steam news page.
