A recent poll conducted by PC Gamer has revealed diverse preferences among gamers regarding RGB lighting for their PCs. Surprisingly, 31% of respondents reported keeping their gaming rigs entirely dark, eschewing all RGB illumination. This segment opts for a 'full goth' or stealthy aesthetic, a choice that defies the trend of elaborate lighting.
Conversely, only 7% of participants embrace maximalist RGB setups, described colorfully as 'unicorn vomit.' The majority of respondents fall somewhere in between these extremes. Nineteen percent favor a tasteful application of RGB, with lighting present but restrained. Another 18% indicated that they turn off most, but not all, RGB lighting, suggesting a nuanced approach. Fifteen percent of gamers leave their RGB settings at their default factory configuration, while 10% have a majority of their PC components illuminated with RGB lighting.
PC Gamer also highlighted upcoming sales events, inquiring about which PC tech readers hope to see discounted during the October Prime Day or Black Friday sales. The publication noted the current economic climate and expressed anticipation for deals on favored gaming hardware.
