Atlus is reviving Persona Super Live, the concert series dedicated to the Persona role-playing games, for the first time since 2022. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the Tokyo stop of the Persona Live Tour 2026, sparking excitement and speculation among fans about potential news regarding the highly anticipated Persona 6.
Persona Super Live 2027 is scheduled to run for three days from March 19-21 at Yokohama Buntai. While typically focused on musical performances from the series, past iterations of the event have also featured significant game announcements. The return of the series after a nearly five-year hiatus has led many to believe Atlus will use the occasion to reveal more about Persona 6.
This timing aligns with the upcoming release of Persona 4 Revival, a remake of the 2008 original, which is set to launch on February 18, 2027. Atlus has indicated a preference for withholding details about Persona 6 until after the Persona 4 remake's release. The Super Live event in March, occurring just one month after Revival's launch, suggests Atlus may be preparing to shift its promotional focus to the next mainline installment in the Persona franchise.
Details about Persona 6 remain scarce, with Atlus having released only a single teaser trailer. This trailer confirmed the game's signature color will be green and hinted at a more somber narrative, featuring imagery of gravestones and a prominent hand overshadowing one particular tomb. Atlus has not yet provided a release date, but clues suggest it will follow Persona 4 Revival. The game is confirmed for physical release on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Given Sony's plans to cease physical disc production for new games in January 2028, it is probable that Atlus intends to launch Persona 6 before the end of 2027.
