PlayStation has announced the new additions coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for October, with most titles becoming available on October 20. This month's lineup includes the prequel Mafia: The Old Country, an enhanced edition of Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition, and the critically acclaimed Horizon Forbidden West.
Mafia: The Old Country offers a strong narrative and action gameplay, making it a suitable choice for a weekend playthrough. Horizon Forbidden West, despite playing it safe with its open-world design, remains one of the most visually impressive games on the PlayStation platform. The collection also features Mycopunk, described as an engaging looter-shooter, and Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, a horror experience. The Midnight Walk, from the developers behind Lost in Random, challenges players to survive against monsters in a dark fantasy setting.
Further expanding the library are an enhanced edition of the action RPG Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25, a simulation of supercross motorcycle racing. For fans of classic gaming, the PlayStation Classics library will receive Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, both requiring a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription for access.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will also gain access to new Game Trials. Starting October 20, players can try out Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell 2 for a limited time.
Meanwhile, all PlayStation Plus members have until November 2 to claim the free monthly games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2.
