Gameplay footage from what appears to be PlayStation's long-unseen live-service shooter, Fairgames, has surfaced online through a playtest website codenamed "Project Espresso." This marks the first significant look at the multiplayer heist game since its initial reveal over three years ago.

The playtest, shared via the Gaming Leaks And Rumors subreddit, features a "third-person PVPVE competitive action game where competing teams race to infiltrate high-security locations, steal valuable cargo, and make it out before their rivals." This description aligns closely with the details previously provided for Fairgames.

While the video accessible on the playtest page has since been removed, Kotaku was able to view it, and it matches footage previously shared on Twitter. The game was first announced in 2023 by Haven Studios, founded by Jade Raymond. However, reports emerged in 2025, roughly two years after its reveal, that the game had faced internal delays due to negative feedback from early playtests. Around the same time, Jade Raymond departed Haven Studios.

Despite these challenges and PlayStation's mixed track record with live-service titles, including a reported reboot of Horizon Hunters Gathering, the emergence of this playtest suggests Sony is continuing development on Fairgames. The exact status and future of the game remain unconfirmed, but this appearance indicates ongoing confidence in the project.
