Niantic is partnering with The Lego Group for a new in-game event in Pokémon Go, bringing exclusive activities and rewards to players who visit participating Lego Stores globally. The collaboration features a Stamp Rally, a Timed Research quest, special raids, and unique Pikachu encounters.

Lego Stamp Rally and Pikachu Encounters

The centerpiece of the event is the Stamp Rally. Players can earn stamps by spinning specific PokéStops located at Lego Stores. These special PokéStops will be marked with a stamp icon. Upon collecting the first stamp, a new section will be added to the player's in-game Scrapbook to track collected stamps and past rallies. After collecting a stamp, players will encounter a Pikachu with a Lego-themed background. This special Pikachu will also feature a stamp icon above it, indicating its connection to the rally.

Timed Research and Avatar Rewards

Following the collection of a stamp from a Lego Store PokéStop, the "Pokémon Go and Lego Collaboration Timed Research" quest will automatically unlock. This quest must be completed by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time. Completing the research tasks, which include exploring, spinning PokéStops or Gyms, catching Pokémon, hatching an Egg, and winning a raid, will reward trainers with 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and a Lego-themed jacket for their avatar.

The research tasks are as follows:

  • Explore 1km: Rewards 3 Lego Pikachu stickers.
  • Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms: Rewards 3 Lego Eevee stickers.
  • Catch 30 Pokémon: Rewards 3 Lego Venusaur stickers.
  • Hatch an Egg: Rewards 3 Lego Charizard stickers.
  • Win a raid: Rewards 3 Lego Blastoise stickers.

In-Store Raids and Smart Play Demos

Participating Lego Stores have also been designated as Gym locations within Pokémon Go, hosting one-star raids featuring a Pikachu that, if caught, will also have a Lego-themed background. These raids are designed to be easily soloed by players. Beyond the in-game activities, Lego Stores are offering an in-person "Lego Pokémon Smart Play" demo. Attendees of this demo can earn a unique Smart Play Tag and a special stamp for their Lego Passport. Availability for the Smart Play Tags is limited and on a while-stocks-last basis, with the start times for this in-store activity potentially varying by location. Players are advised to check the official Lego website for specific details regarding the Smart Play event in their local store.

The collaboration is active in Lego Stores across the UK, the US, France, Germany, Poland, and Australia, with a map available to help players locate participating stores. The event runs until September 30, 2026.
