Pokémon Go is gearing up for its June Community Day event, featuring the Dragon/Ice-type Pokémon Frigibax. This event, scheduled for Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm local time, presents a prime opportunity for players to encounter Frigibax with increased shiny odds and a higher chance of achieving perfect IV stats. The event also allows players to obtain Baxcalibur, Frigibax's final evolution, with its exclusive signature Charged Attack, Glaive Rush.
Shiny Frigibax, along with its evolutions Arctibax and Baxcalibur, first appeared in May 2025 during Pokémon Go Fest in Osaka. The upcoming Community Day will significantly boost the chances of finding a shiny variant, with additional measures like using Incense recommended to increase spawn rates. The shiny Frigibax family features a muted mint green color palette.
Obtaining a Perfect IV Frigibax
For players aiming to catch a Frigibax with perfect 15/15/15 stats, often referred to as a 'Hundo,' the Community Day offers the best opportunity. For Trainers level 30 and above, a perfect Frigibax will have a Combat Power (CP) of 1,069 in the wild, or 1,158 when weather-boosted. Players below level 30 will find these CP values differ based on their Trainer Level.
Exclusive Move: Glaive Rush
Evolving an Arctibax into Baxcalibur during the event, or up to four hours afterward until 9pm local time, will grant the resulting Baxcalibur the Dragon-type Charged Attack Glaive Rush. This move is Baxcalibur's signature attack and boasts 90 Power in Trainer Battles, with the drawback of decreasing the user's Defense by one stage. For Gyms and Raids, Glaive Rush has a Power of 105. The effectiveness of Glaive Rush compared to Baxcalibur's other Charged Attack, Avalanche, will depend on its energy cost. Avalanche offers 90 damage for 45 Energy, while Glaive Rush's defensive debuff may necessitate a lower energy cost to be a more favorable option in player-versus-player combat. In raid scenarios, Glaive Rush is approximately 25% stronger than Avalanche, making its energy cost a crucial factor for its utility.
Community Day Bonuses
Throughout the Frigibax Community Day, several bonuses will be active. These include increased Frigibax spawns and shiny rates, triple catch Stardust, and double catch Candy. Trainers level 31 and above will also have a doubled chance for XL Candy from catching Pokémon. Lure Modules and Incense will have extended durations, with Lure Modules lasting an hour between 2pm and 9pm local time, and Incense lasting three hours between 2pm and 5pm local time. Frigibax will also have a higher chance of appearing at PokéStops with active Lure Modules during the event, featuring a special background and increased shiny odds. Additionally, players can make one extra Special Trade, and all trades will consume 50% less Stardust during the 2pm to 9pm window. Event-exclusive field research tasks will be available, offering rewards such as Stardust, Ultra Balls, and Frigibax encounters, potentially with a seasonal special background. A Special Research story will also be available via purchase.
