Pokémon Go is set to launch its autumn 2026 season, Twilight Trails, on Tuesday, September 8, bringing a host of new content including fresh Pokémon, Mega Evolutions, and changes to egg pools. The season will conclude on Tuesday, December 1.
This new season will feature the debut of more Pokémon from the Paldea region (Generation 9), with Maschiff and Mabosstiff announced as upcoming additions. Both are Dark-type Pokémon, with Mabosstiff playing a significant role in the plot of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The season also heralds the arrival of two new Mega Evolutions: Mega Staraptor and Mega Chandelure. These powerful forms were originally released in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, suggesting they may become available through Super Mega Raids, similar to other Megas from that game.
Twilight Trails will also introduce new Dynamax Pokémon. Players can anticipate the appearance of Dynamax Rhyhorn, Dynamax Sneasel, Dynamax Sizzlipede, Dynamax Uxie, Dynamax Mesprit, and Dynamax Azelf. The regional status of Dynamax Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf remains unclear at this time. Zorua has also been hinted at through promotional materials, though its specific role in the season is yet to be detailed, potentially indicating a Zorua-focused event or a Halloween-themed appearance.

Events and Go Battle League
The season will run concurrently with Season 28 of the Go Battle League, which will feature its standard three leagues and special cups. While many events for Twilight Trails are still under wraps, Super Mega Raids for Mega Staraptor and Mega Chandelure are highly anticipated, as are potential Dynamax-themed events. The Go Wild Area event may also return, though details are pending.
Community Days are confirmed for Twilight Trails, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, Saturday, October 10, and Saturday, November 21. The specific Pokémon featured in these events have not yet been announced.
IMAGE2 The season's Go Passes will feature Latios for September, followed by Kyogre and Groudon in subsequent months. Major Milestones for trainers Level 31 and above include guaranteed Candy XL upon trading Pokémon, increased Candy for trades, increased limits for Gifts, and enhanced XP and Stardust rewards from hatching eggs.

Seasons in Pokémon Go, introduced in December 2021, are three-month periods that unify various in-game events under a central theme. They typically introduce new Pokémon, Mega Evolutions, quality-of-life improvements, changes to spawns and egg pools, and new Go Battle League seasons.
