Pokémon Go's World Space Week 2026 Event Features Astronaut Pikachu

A surprise "World Space Week 2026" event has arrived in Pokémon Go, running from October 4th to October 10th. This modest event focuses on a single special encounter: a Pikachu donning an astronaut suit.

How to Find Astronaut Pikachu

Players have two primary methods to encounter the astronaut Pikachu during this event. The first is by successfully defeating it in one-star raids. After winning the raid, players will have an opportunity to catch the costumed Pokémon. The second method involves completing the event's Timed Research, which also offers an encounter with astronaut Pikachu upon completion.

This special costumed variant of Pikachu has the potential to be shiny, offering collectors an extra incentive to participate. It is currently unknown if astronaut Pikachu will be available again in future events.
