The Pokémon Company has announced a new collectible pin set celebrating the beloved Nintendo DS titles Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. These pins are miniature replicas of the original game packaging, featuring Ho-Oh for HeartGold and Lugia for SoulSilver. The collectible set is scheduled for release exclusively through the Japanese Pokémon Center in February 2027.
According to the product description, the pins will have a "shiny finish" on the Pokémon and logo areas, with the game's release year and Nintendo DS logo also present. The reverse side of each pin is designed to resemble a Poké Ball with a matte black finish.
These HeartGold and SoulSilver pins were previously available for a limited-time preorder during the summer, priced at ¥1,320 (approximately $8.35 USD). While the Japanese Pokémon Center website currently lists the pins as out of stock, it indicates that they will be made available again at a later date. It remains unclear if another preorder window will open before the February 2027 release or if sales will commence solely after that date. Players interested in acquiring these collectibles are advised to monitor the Japanese Pokémon Center's website for restock announcements.
While fans continue to speculate about potential modern remakes of HeartGold and SoulSilver, there has been no official confirmation from the company. The swift sell-out of the preorder for these pins suggests a strong demand among fans eager to revisit the Johto region.
