Halloween is coming to the world of Pokémon Pokopia with a special in-game event. This marks the game's first Halloween celebration since its release, offering players a limited-time opportunity to engage with festive content. The event is scheduled to run from October 17 until November 1.
Previous in-game events in Pokémon Pokopia have included activities like the "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event in August, which provided water-themed furniture and celebrated an expansion pass update. These recurring events aim to offer players a break from their usual gameplay routines, introducing opportunities to unlock unique items and Pokémon.
Pumpkaboo Leads Pokopia's Halloween Event
The Halloween event will commence on October 17 at 5 a.m., coinciding with the in-game day reset, and conclude on November 1 at 4:59 a.m. To initiate the festivities, players must interact with Pumpkaboo, who will be positioned in front of a specially decorated Pokémon Center. Pumpkaboo will offer a variety of Halloween-themed goods in exchange for candy, the event's primary currency.
Players can acquire candy by utilizing Zorua's Camouflage ability. This allows Zorua to transform into a nearby object, attracting the attention of other Pokémon. By surprising these approaching Pokémon, players will be rewarded with candy. These Halloween tricks are central to progressing through the event.
The event also allows players to construct a special habitat using the Halloween-themed items available at the Pokémon Center. Successfully assembling the correct combination of these items can summon Gourgeist, Pumpkaboo's evolved form. The presence of both Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist is intended to enhance the spooky atmosphere of Pokopia during the celebration.
