Pokémon Pokopia, which originally launched on March 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2, is set to receive its first major Expansion Pass content with the addition of the Bubbly Basin biome this August. This new area, as its name suggests, is entirely underwater. To access it, players will need to utilize a new Dive ability, which becomes available after increasing the environmental level in the Bleak Beach town. The Bubbly Basin content will be accompanied by a free software update that grants the Dive ability to all players in the same month.

This Bubbly Basin update marks the beginning of the game's Expansion Pass. Further content, described as "additional features," is planned for late 2026, with another new town expected to arrive in 2027. The new biome is designed to accommodate a variety of underwater pocket monsters, requiring the new Dive ability to explore fully.
