Since the release of Pokémon Pokopia in March 2026, the game has featured several in-game events that introduced unique Pokémon. Events such as the Hoppip evolution line, Sableye, and Jirachi have already occurred, with the current "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event offering Feebas and Milotic. Players who were unable to participate during these limited windows, or who started playing Pokopia after these events concluded, have found it impossible to legitimately recruit these Pokémon.
While changing the Nintendo Switch 2 console's date and time to match event periods is technically possible, it is considered a form of cheating. A Reddit user known as ArcadiaCitizen_ has reportedly found a method that circumvents this issue and allows players to obtain missed Pokémon, requiring only a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
The discovered technique involves purchasing an item called the Mysterious Goggles from any Pokémon Center computer. Equipping these goggles allows players to visit the dream islands of other players. Although direct interaction with items on these islands is not possible, players can take pictures. By inputting a specific code, players can access a developer-created island that contains every item and Pokémon available in Pokopia.
Players can activate the camera by pressing the minus button and then toggling to an item-highlighting mode with the Y button. This allows for capturing up to 20 different items at once. The strategy involves photographing the items that constitute the habitats for desired Pokémon. Upon returning to the 3D printer in any Pokémon Center, players can then use these photographs to acquire the necessary items, provided they have sufficient Pokémetal and Rare Pokémetal.
For example, a player who missed the "More Spores for Hoppip" event and thus could not obtain Skiploom and Jumpluff, found all the necessary items from that event readily available on the developer's dream island. After photographing these items and recreating the habitats in Palette Town, Skiploom and Jumpluff appeared shortly thereafter. This method can be used to obtain any missing items and Pokémon, and players are encouraged to consult dedicated event habitat guides for further assistance.
