Pokémon Pokopia has launched its Version 2.0.0 update, introducing a significant amount of free content, including the ability to explore and build underwater. This update also provides support for the recently released Bubbly Basin expansion.

The new Dive ability, now available to all players, adds a bubble to the player character's head, allowing for extended underwater movement and interaction. This new feature is essential for accessing the Bubbly Basin DLC, which requires players to have learned the Dive move and upgraded the Raise the Environment Level quest on Bleak Beach to level five.

Players who own the Expansion Pass will find Popplio at the Bubbly Basin's Pokémon Center once these conditions are met, ready to guide them to the new area. Even without the expansion, all players benefit from the update with new recipes, emotes, hair colors, and various gameplay enhancements. The patch notes detail improvements to Pokémon location, multi-action capabilities, and the ability to appraise up to 10 relics simultaneously.

Among the new features are the addition of underwater building capabilities, new items like the portal pod and safe, and the dynamic Ditto print pattern obtainable from Smearguru. Players can also acquire new emotes, "Lie Down" and "Ready, Set, Go!", and five new hair colors: orange, light pink, yellow-green, blue-green, and brown.

Quality-of-life improvements include bulk item transfer between storage and the bag, item deletion from objects, and finer control over placing building elements like windows and doors. Settings have been updated to include options for hiding cancellation confirmation messages and enabling movement while the move wheel is open, alongside motion-sickness reduction settings for the camera. Several items, including stylish stools, handrails, and vending machines, can now be painted.

The update also addresses several gameplay mechanics. Pokémon habitats will now regenerate if rebuilt, and Pokémon that react negatively to removed furniture will more quickly adapt to replacements. Interactions with Pokémon that taught emotes will now feature them responding with the same emote. Searching for Pokémon in the Pokédex can now direct players to their current town using the Return Home function. Conversation indicators have been reduced to highlight special Pokémon conversations and requests more clearly. Crafting now prioritizes materials from storage boxes adjacent to workbenches before consuming bag inventory. The placement limit for power generators has been doubled to 128, and the number of displayable town photos has increased from 10 to 40.

Numerous fixes have also been implemented, resolving issues such as Pokémon falling out of the environment, incorrect item requests, visual glitches with painted surfaces, and problems with multiplayer building functionalities. Specific quest progression issues and incorrect player transport after online sessions have also been addressed.
