The Pokémon franchise is continuing its 30th-anniversary celebrations into 2026 with the release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration expansion. This new set honors the franchise's three-decade legacy by including a mix of all-new cards and reissued classics.
Central to the 30th Celebration set are 30 classic cards that have been reprinted with the official 30th-anniversary logo. Every card within this expansion is a foil card, and many feature special artwork. The set also introduces a new rarity called "Futuristic rare," which showcases new illustrations by Japanese artist Yoshirotten.
Collectors looking to obtain cards from this special expansion will need to purchase larger sets, as individual booster packs are not available. These sets include the Elite Trainer Box, the 30th Celebration Poster Collection, the Tech Sticker Collection, the Pokémon ex Box, and the Knock Out Collection. Notable pulls from the expansion include cards featuring the Legendary birds from Generation I and a rare special illustration Mewtwo.
Furthermore, each booster pack within the 30th Celebration expansion contains one of 30 unique Pikachu cards, with each card designed by a different artist. These Pikachu cards also prominently display the 30th-anniversary logo, distinguishing them from other sets.
