The next expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, titled Mega Evolution — Delta Reign, is set to launch on November 6. This new set will feature over 135 designs, with a focus on Mega Evolution-themed cards.
IGN has provided an early look at three specific cards: Sprigatito, its evolution Floragato, and the ex variant, Meowscarada ex. Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon, is depicted resting on a trainer's bed and has 70 HP. Its Play Rough attack is noted as lacking significant power.
Evolving into Floragato, the Pokémon gains 90 HP and the Slash attack, dealing 60 damage. The final evolution shown is Meowscarada ex, boasting 320 HP and the Magical Bullet attack. This attack can inflict 120 damage on the opponent and an additional 120 damage to any damaged Pokémon on the bench. As with all ex cards, Meowscarada ex will award two prize cards if knocked out.
The release of Mega Evolution — Delta Reign follows the recent 30th Anniversary set, which experienced substantial demand, leading to long queues, incidents of conflict, and reports of disappointment from resellers unable to achieve expected profits.
