The Pokémon Trading Card Game is set to release its sixth Mega Evolution expansion, Delta Reign, on November 6, 2026. This new set will bring back Mega Rayquaza, an iconic Pokémon not featured since the XY—Ancient Origins and XY—Roaring Skies expansions in 2015. Pre-orders for the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box are anticipated in the first or second week of September.

The Elite Trainer Box itself has drawn significant attention for its design, featuring a deep blue color with sparkling details reminiscent of a starry sky, accented by emerald green and a prominent cutout of Rayquaza. Pre-release events for Delta Reign are scheduled from October 24th to November 1st.

One of the notable inclusions in the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box is an exclusive promo card: the Kyogre Illustration Rare, which was originally from the Storm Emerald expansion. Booster pack artwork for Delta Reign has also been revealed, showcasing Mega Rayquaza alongside other Mega Evolution ex cards planned for the set: Mega Golisopod ex, Mega Golurk ex, and Mega Malamar ex.

Delta Reign is a substantial expansion, containing over 135 cards. This includes four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, six Pokémon ex, 14 illustration rare Pokémon, and 17 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards. The set also introduces a new gameplay mechanic: split Legendary Stadium cards. These consist of pairs of Stadium cards that, when played together, form an extended artwork and offer powerful combined passive effects. Three such pairs are planned: Legendary Ocean Trench, Legendary Summit, and Legendary Lava Lake, totaling six new Stadium cards.

Fans can find the Mega Evolution—Delta Reign set in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and various collections worldwide. Those looking to secure the Elite Trainer Box are advised to monitor the official Pokémon Center website and enable notifications from Pokémon TCG news outlets, as high-demand sets often sell out quickly.

In separate news, The Pokémon Company has announced cancellations for certain Pokémon Card orders due to a cyber incident that may have exposed customer data. This breach appears to be specific to European orders handled by logistics firm CEVA, which was also recently implicated in a data theft incident affecting Valve's Steam hardware customers. The Pokémon Company is working to address the situation following the cyber incident.
