Pokopia is launching a new in-game event this month centered around the shapeshifting Pokémon Zorua. The Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest event will run from July 19 to July 27, with start and end times synchronized to each player's local time zone.
Players will find Zorua available outside of any restored Pokémon Centers at the beginning of the event. To access this area, players must have progressed through the game to the point of befriending Bulbasaur and rebuilding the initial Pokémon Center as part of the "Yawn up a Storm" request in the Withered Wasteland.
Participation in the hide-and-seek mini-game is initiated by speaking with Zorua. This mechanic requires players to utilize a camouflage ability, learned either from Zorua directly or through completing the Bleak Beach questline, to evade other Pokémon and reach a designated point. While standard rewards for this mini-game typically include small amounts of stardust, earnings are expected to be enhanced during the event period. Specific details regarding the full reward list have not yet been disclosed, but successful participation will offer a chance to earn exclusive event prizes, including a special trophy.
The event also supports cooperative play. Players can join contests in another player's world or on a Cloud Island. The fastest completion time achieved by any participant will be recorded as the best record for that specific town or Cloud Island.
While time travel to expedite event participation was not supported in Pokopia's recent Jirachi event, players can use time travel backward to catch up on missed events, including this one for Zorua, or to collect other post-launch additions like Sableye and Hoppip and their associated rewards. A comprehensive guide hub for Pokopia, covering aspects such as finding fossils, building habitats, and visiting Dream Islands, is also available.
