The post specifically cited the project's runtime component, 'libultraship,' as particularly affected and suggested the team was attempting to obscure the use of AI by removing co-author credits. Evidence presented included code snippets that directly referenced AI tools like Claude.
In response to the viral claims and subsequent fan outcry on platforms like ResetEra and Bluesky, Harbour Masters members addressed the accusations on their official Discord server. While refuting claims of 'millions of lines' of AI-generated code, developers confirmed that AI tools have been utilized in various capacities for years.
