Popular streamer TimTheTatman stated that he declined a six-figure contract to play Embark Studios' Arc Raiders, explaining that his frustration with the game was too significant to overcome for any amount of money.

During a recent stream, TimTheTatman disclosed the offer was tied to a Subway collaboration for Arc Raiders. "I did say no to six-figures with Arc Raiders, I did," he shared. "I said 'No thank you'. And it was the Subway Arc Raiders ad. I said I just can't do it, I'm sorry."

The streamer addressed the public reaction to his decision, noting the conflicting criticisms he received. "People say 'you're a fucking sellout' but then in the same breath I said I passed on six-figures from Arc Raiders and people are like 'you're fucking stupid'," he commented.

He elaborated on the figure that would entice him back to the game. "If that Arc Raiders deal was seven-figures—hey boys welcome back to Arc Raiders and Subway, right, you see what I'm saying? 100% we're going back. But it's just for me, the game frustrated me so much—I got frustrated so much with that game, I just don't want to play it ever again. Even to a point where six-figures isn't going to get me back on it."

Arc Raiders has faced challenges, particularly concerning cheating and stream sniping, which can impact its appeal to streamers. Embark Studios' executive producer Aleksander Grøndal has acknowledged the game's issues and expressed hopes that the upcoming major update, Frozen Trails, will revitalize the experience and encourage players to return.
